Establishment
Mbozi Coffee Curing Company Ltd was established on 16 January, 1986, in accordance with the Companies Act, 2002 (formerly known as the Companies Ordinance CAP 212). The company's formation designated it as a Parastatals Organization and operated as a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Tanzania Coffee Board (TCB). On 18 September, 1995, the company underwent a transition into a private entity, with nineteen (19) Co-operative Unions owning 68.3% of its share capital, while the remaining 31.7% was retained by the Tanzania Coffee Board (TCB) on behalf of the Government of The United Republic of Tanzania. In 2020, the shares previously held by the Tanzania Coffee Board (TCB) were transferred to the Treasury Registrar (TR) in accordance with the provisions of the Public Corporations Act No. 2 of 1992, paragraph 20 (1).
